<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small chip resistor having good surge resistant characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The chip resistor comprises a rectangular insulating substrate 11 of 1608 size or less, a pair of upper surface electrodes 13 provided at the opposite ends on the upper surface of the insulating substrate 11, and a resistor 14 provided to be connected electrically with the pair of upper surface electrodes 13. The length of the resistor 14 not overlapping the pair of upper surface electrodes 13 (effective length of the resistor 14) is 50% or more of the length of the insulating substrate 11, and the thickness of the resistor 14 is 12μm or above after firing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
