摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify discrimination between vibration noise and a signal caused by the occurrence of partial discharge. <P>SOLUTION: An AE sensor 11a is mounted to a mold section 12a of a mold-type instrument transformer 12. An iron core section 13 of the transformer 12 is connected to an installation iron frame section 12b. The mold section 12a is formed with a void 14, where a partial discharge (PD) occurs. When PD detection measurement is performed with the AE sensor 11a, attached directly to the mold section 12a of the mold type instrument transformer 12, as described, almost all the vibration noise originating from the transformer 12 itself is removed; while a PD detection signal appears prominently in the measurement signal of the AE sensor 11a, thereby allowing PD detection for the mold-type instrument transformer 12 by the AE sensor method, which has been difficult thus far. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
