<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering system which achieves high efficiency and energy saving in drive control for an electric motor M under automatic steering control state, and highly efficiently controls the electric motor M without causing switching loss in switching an energizing voltage of the electric motor M when a positive voltage is applied to the electric motor M. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle steering system includes: the electric motor M for imparting a steering force to a steering mechanism 1 of a vehicle; and an automatic parking control part 22 for performing an automatic parking control by controlling the electric motor M. The automatic parking control part 22 controls an energizing voltage of the electric motor M by imparting a square wave to the electric motor M and increasing/decreasing a neutral point voltage of a winding of the electric motor M. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
