PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate disks of different sizes and to exactly guide the respective disks to prescribed positions. SOLUTION: A driving unit 15 supplies driving power to slide a sliding member 153, thereby driving a sliding plate 141. The sliding plate rotates a driving rod 142 by using a guide rod disposed thereon. The driving rod is projected with a guide pin and one end of an accepting rod 172 is provided with a lock groove cooperatively with a loading lever 143. A plurality of diagonal slots opened in parallel in a substrate 18 guide sliding of the accepting rod and a detent 171 is rotatably fixed to the optical disk drive, is provided with a stop part on one end and is situated in the moving path of another one projecting guide pin of the driving rod. The driving rod is projected with a lock pin at the other end. One end of a traction spring 177 is fixed to the detent to thereby lock the lock pin to the lock groove.
