PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily manufacturable air conditioner having a function of cleaning air and capable of suppressing vibration of ionizing wires and noise. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is comprised of a panel frame 90, a plurality of ionizing wires 66, a plurality of ribs 99 and a counter electrode 21. Each of the ionizing wires 66 is stretched and attached to the panel frame 90 so that it can be held in midair and at least two fixed ends thereof can be disposed therein. Each of the ribs 99 is disposed on the shortest route between a fixed end of one end side and a fixed end of the other end side in the vicinity of the center of the length direction of the ionizing wire 66. The counter electrode 21 is disposed approximately parallel to the length direction of the ionizing wires 66 in the vicinity thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
