Ginger is used orally to slow or reverse the growth of rapidly developing tumors in animals and humans by more than 50% when administered in a daily dose that is 5 to 10 times the threshold dose at which an analgesic and antiinflammatory effect abruptly sets in in cases of joint inflammation. An independent claim is also included for a composition for slowing the growth of rapidly developing tumors as above, in which the ginger concentration is such as to provide a daily dose as above.
