A method of using a food additive composition for increasing the immunity of fish containing a water-dispersible alpha lipoic acid capsule composition is provided to ensure an excellent preventing effect on the occurrence of iridovirus or a disease whose cause is not known. A feed additive composition for increasing immunity of fish contains a water-dispersible alpha lipoic acid capsule composition which is obtained by mixing 0.5 to 20.0% by weight of alpha-lipoic acid, 0.5 to 25.0% by weight of one or more water-insoluble polymers having self-emulsifying properties, 0.1 to 12.0% by weight of one or more amino acids; and a balance of water, a hydrophilic solvent or a mixture thereof and encapsulating. The fish is carp, catfish, loach, Oreochromis niloticus, parrot fish(Oplegnathus fasciatus), eel, Sebastes schlegeli, Konosirus punctatus and the like. The amount of the water-dispersible alpha lipoic acid capsule composition which is added to feed is 150 to 2,000ppm per 1 ton feed. A daily dose of alpha lipoic acid comprising the water-dispersible alpha lipoic acid capsule composition is 759 to 10,000mg based on a fish cage. |
