The system (1) has a dosing unit (D) for releasing a given reducing agent, and an accumulator container (12) for intermediate storage of the reducing agent. The intermediate-stored reducing agent is supplied from the accumulator container to the dosing unit under positive pressure. The accumulator container is formed as a filter cartridge for filtering of the reducing agent supplied to the dosing unit. The pressure in the accumulator container is kept between a given upper limit value and a lower limit value during the operation of the system.
