摘要 <p>The method involves measuring lane markings by a sensor system (2) e.g. video sensor, for lane recognition in a region of traffic, where the region lies before a vehicle. Supporting points with coordinates of a coordinate system are assigned to the lane markings, and the coordinates of the supporting points are converted into another coordinate system. Characteristics of the lane markings and/or lanes are reconstructed from a position of the supporting points in the latter coordinate system. An independent claim is also included for a driver assistance system for performing a method for recognizing a lane.</p>
