An educational toy block is provided to facilitate a pronunciation learning process of a child by representing various pronunciations using blocks, which are inserted into first and second upper block grooves. An upper block plate(10) includes an upper plate(13) and an insertion portion. A straight first upper block groove(11) and an x-like second upper block groove(12) are repeatedly formed on the upper plate. The insertion portion is formed under the upper plate and includes a holding portion(14) at an outer surface thereof. A lower block plate(20) includes a coupling portion(22) and a lower plate. The coupling portion is coupled with the insertion portion of the upper block plate. A straight first lower block groove is formed on the lower plate. A block coupling portion, which is inserted into the first and second upper block grooves of the upper block plate and the first lower block groove of the lower block plate, is formed on a block. A protrusion is formed on the block.
