A can crusher is provided to collect scraps of aluminum and iron separately by rotatably installing a magnetic roller at the lower side of a discharge hopper and disposing a separating plate raking out scraps of iron stuck on the magnetic roller, adjacent to the outer peripheral surface of the magnetic roller. In a can crusher, a collecting container(10) is inserted into a collecting container body(7) having an opened front part and an upper rear part, divided into aluminum and iron collecting containers(8,9), and inserted into or drawn out through a collecting container door. The lower end of a housing(12) is combined with the opened upper side of the collecting container body. A rotary shaft(14) of a rotary cutter(17) is exposed to the front and rear sides of the housing. The front rotary shaft exposed to the front side of the housing is combined with a motor shaft. A driving sprocket is installed at the rear rotary shaft exposed to the rear side of the housing. A discharge hopper(23) is installed in the housing at the lower side of a filtering net(22). A magnetic roller(24) is mounted on the inner lower part of the housing at the lower side of the discharge hopper. A rotary shaft of the magnetic roller penetrates through the rear side of the housing. A driven sprocket is installed at the rotary shaft of the magnetic roller. A chain is wound between the rotary shaft and the driving sprocket of the rotary cutter. A separating plate(32) raking out scraps of iron(30) stuck on the outer surface of the magnetic roller into the iron collecting container is installed at the lower end of the housing adjacent to the lower side of the outer peripheral surface of the magnetic roller. A sound insulation pad(5) is attached on the entire inner surface of an outer cover(1).
