PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a mechanical lock (biting), regarding a lens driving device including a lead screw and a nut. SOLUTION: The lens driving device includes: a lens frame 43 that is freely movable in an optical axis direction while holding a lens; the lead screw 145 that extends in the optical axis direction L; and the nut 146 that is thread-engaged with the lead screw and also moves integrally with the lens frame, wherein the lens frame 43 is driven integrally with the nut 146 by rotating the lead screw 145. As a forcible stopping mechanism to forcibly stop the rotation of the lead screw 145 at a prescribed timing just before the nut 146 reaches the screw end of the lead screw 145, an oscillating lever 241 that oscillates in linkage with the lens frame 43, a plate with a pawl 242 that is integrally rotated with the lead screw 145 and a torsion spring 243 are disposed.
