PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method capable of processing an object surface into a roung shape with good efficiency. SOLUTION: In this cutting method 10, a surface 24a of an object 24 is processed into a round shape using a machining center 23 having a round milling-cutter 21 and a spindle 22. This cutting method 10 comprises a step 11 for fixing an object 24 in a manner that the surface 24a of the object 24 is inclined to a plane 25 perpendicular to the spindle 22 of the machining center 23 by 10 to 60 degrees, a step 12 for cutting the surface 24a of the object 24 and the forming one groove 26a by linearly moving the circular milling-cutter 21, and a step 13 for moving the circular milling-cutter 21 to a position adjacent to the groove 26a and linearly moving the circular milling-cutter 21 in parallel to the groove 26a so as to cut the surface 24a of the object 24.
