MULTI-GRADATION DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving image quality by reducing a false contour or the like in accordance with inclinations of various gradations when a moving image is displayed in a multi-gradation display device.

SOLUTION: The multi-gradation display device is constituted so that a multi-gradation processing part 1 detects an edge amount (GR) representing the extent of inclination of gradation in addition to a moving amount (MV) in the moving image of an object to be displayed, a digit changing signal (RK) and the like, and in response to them, a false contour processing part 710 selects a proper processing from several kinds of processing for coping with false contour of the moving image including the multi-gradation processing and executes the proper processing.
