<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of preventing degradation of COP caused by the water of intermediate temperature. <P>SOLUTION: This hot water storage type water heater comprises a hot water storage tank connected with a heat pump going pipe and a heat pump returning pipe and storing hot water, a heat pump-type heating means for heating hot water in the hot water storage tank, a heat pump circulation circuit connecting the hot water storage tank and the heat pump type heating means in a state of allowing circulation of the hot water, and a heat pump circulation pump disposed in the heat pump circulation circuit for circulating the hot water. A sub-tank is disposed in a state of being communicated with an intermediate-temperature water taking-out pipe connected with an approximate center of the hot water storage tank, at its upper part, a lower part of the sub-tank and the heat pump going pipe are connected with a sub-tank connection pipe, and a first valve device and a second valve device are disposed on the intermediate-temperature water taking-out pipe and the sub-tank connection pipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
