PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner improving operability, and capable of carrying out only disinfection operation. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is comprised by connecting an outdoor unit having a compressor and an outdoor heat exchanger, and an indoor unit having an air blower and an indoor heat exchanger by a connection piping. It is provided with a disinfection device carrying out disinfection by arranging a liquid-vapor contact member soaked with electrolyzed water containing active oxygen or the like, on a passage of air by the air blower of the indoor unit, and contacting the air to the electrolyzed water soaked in the liquid-vapor contact member, and a control part controlling air-conditioning operation and the disinfection operation. A sequential operation mode of interlocking the air-conditioning operation and the disinfection operation by the disinfection device, and an individual disinfection operation mode of not carrying out the air-conditioning operation and carrying out the disinfection operation by the disinfection device are provided as operation modes by the control part.
