PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function which is high in use effect for a user of an exchange device and to automatically extract an operation manual of the function from a large number of manuals to provide it. SOLUTION: A telephone exchange manual provision method is provided with a web server section 18 connected to a PC 22 through a network 23, the web server section 18 having a web page including a function correspondence manual of an extension telephone set 21 accommodated in a key telephone system 10 and use frequencies for each function thereof. Each time the extension telephone set 21 executes a function of the key telephone system 10, a function managing section 17 updates the use frequency of the function for each function to generate a use frequency list, and the web server section 18 updates the web page at a predetermined period, consequently the web server section 18 provides the requested web page to the requesting PC 22 through the network 23.
