PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly judge whether a mouse device can be efficiently used or not. SOLUTION: This mouse device 20 is provided with: a light emitting element 270 for emitting light rays; a light detection sensor 250 for judging whether or not the use conditions of a reflection surface A of the light emitting element 270 are satisfactory by detecting the reflected light rays of the light rays emitted by the light emitting element 270; an indicator 24 for outputting the rays of light; and a control part 210. When such a rate that the use conditions are judged to be satisfactory by the light detection sensor 250 exceeds a predetermined value, a control part 210 makes an indicator 24 output the light rays.
