PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing a polyphenol to a fiber aggregate, by which the polyphenol represented by catechin can be fixed to the surfaces of fibers, a fabric or a synthetic leather to impart the functions of the polyphenol and simultaneously also impart washing durability, abrasion resistance and allergen resistance, to provide the fiber aggregate, and to provide a fiber-treating agent. SOLUTION: One to four hydroxyl groups of a polyphenol compound are esterified with a fatty acid, and the obtained polyphenol compound fatty acid ester is mixed with an aqueous emulsion or aqueous solution of an acrylic, urethane or silicon-containing acrylic resin to obtain a fiber-treating agent. A fiber aggregate is treated with the fiber-treating agent by an impregnation method, a padding method, or the like and then dried. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
