An insert assembly for a rotor, a turbine, and a method for retrofitting the turbine are provided to employ a channel radially provided on a rotor and an insert provided in the channel in the circumferential direction of the channel, so that frictional heat between the rotor and the insert is insulated. A channel(130) is radially provided on a rotor(110). An insert(140) is provided in the channel radially. The channel includes a hook-type rib provided on the surface of the rotor in order to press-fit the insert into the channel. The insert includes a plurality of insert tabs radially provided. The insert tabs are engaged with a plurality of rotor tabs provided in the channel. The insert includes multiple segments radially provided in the channel.
