<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advertisement information provision method by a vocalization method with reduced sense of incongruity for a user by using the waiting time for the operation of a main body apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the hand dryer with an information provision function, a motor is driven so as to dry hands by detecting insertion of the hand and a speaker device providing information such as an advertisement by voice is set. The hand dryer includes a speaker which is mounted on the main body, a memory means which stores information data such as the advertisement, and a control means which reads in the information data stored in the memory means and vocalized from the speaker.
