<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet-holding structure for a magnetic position detector and a steering lock apparatus in which an exclusive part for retaining a magnet is unnecessary when the magnet is attached and fixed in place in positioning condition. <P>SOLUTION: The electric steering lock apparatus comprises: a magnet 27 in a locking stopper 16 for supporting a locking bar 11; and a hall elemental device 31 in a substrate 28 located on the side of a case. The position of the locking bar 11 is detected by sensing a change of magnetic field intensity applied to the hall elemental device 31 according to a change of a position of the locking bar 11 with the hall elemental device 31. The locking bar 11 is disposed in a proximity position on the opposite side of falling direction of the magnet 27. The magnet 27 is retained in the locking stopper 16 in a positioning condition since the magnet 27 is thereby attracted to the locking bar 11 made of metal by its magnetic force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
