<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of processing an image with which a gradation or a color can be adjusted around an attentional portion of the image and other non-intended portions are not affected by the adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: A color (C, M, Y) to set a gradation corrective function thereto or the like is designated, an attentional portion of an image is then designated, a density of the image is set to a peak density V<SB>P</SB>, an upper setting value V<SB>L</SB>and a lower setting value V<SB>U</SB>of the density are set, and the gradation corrective function is created from these data. Similarly, a hue, lightness and saturation are determined from the color of the attentional portion and a color corrective function is generated for each of them. These gradation corrective function and the color corrective function are used to perform gradation conversion with a desired density and color correction with a desired color in the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
