PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the temperatures of a roller corresponding to each heater from lowering below a lower limit temperature when switching on or off the heater and shortening a period of time required for the temperature of each roller to reach its target temperature. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: first and second heat source members for heating the pressure roller and the heat roller respectively; a power supply means for supplying power to each heat source member; a temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of each roller; and a control means for controlling the power supply means in a first mode for turing off the supply of power to each heat source member, a second mode for turning on the supply of power to each heat source member, or a third mode for duty-controlling the supply of power to each heat source member. While switching between the first to third modes so that the temperatures of the pressure roller and heat roller detected by the corresponding temperature detection means become within predetermined ranges, the control means controls the power supply means such that when one of the heat source members is switched from the first mode to the third mode, the third mode is used for the other heat source member.
