[Also in Groups XIV and XXXVI] Cables or conduits 8 are secured to a slotted metal plate 6 by means of a clip or fastener 9 made of strip material wider than the width of the slots 7 in the plate 6, the ends 10, 11 of the strip being bent at right angles, one 11 having notches 13 in each of its side edges of slightly greater width than the thickness of the plate 6, the other 10 being reduced to a width less than that of the slots and having notches in its side edges to provide aT-shaped head 12 which is adapted to co-operate with a spring locking member 14 which can be placed between the head 12 and the plate 6 when the head is passed through a slot 7. The member 14 is made of spring material and is bent to V-shape. It is slotted from one end to slightly beyond the apex of the V to engage the head 12. The end 11 is engaged in a slot 7 longitudinally and the clip is rotated to engage the notches 13 with the slot edges. |
