An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to diffuse light emitted from light sources according to dispersion parts of a diffusion plate to obtain uniform luminance of the LCD and form the diffusion plate by using a transparent glass material to prevent optical sheets from being damaged due to heat generated from the light sources. An LCD includes an LCD panel, a plurality of light sources(330) and a diffusion plate. The plural light sources are arranged behind the LCD panel. The diffusion plate is located between the LCD panel and the light sources and has a front side(320a) facing the LCD panel and a rear side(320b) facing the light sources. At least one of the front side and the rear side of the diffusion plate has dispersion parts(321a,321b). The dispersion parts include protrusions and depressions. The dispersion parts respectively correspond to the light sources.
