<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of suppressing deterioration of power generation performance during operation at high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell (100) includes a membrane electrode assembly (10), passages (22, 23) arranged on both sides of the membrane electrode assembly, and fluid permeating members (212, 312) arranged between the membrane electrode assembly and the passages. The thermal resistance of the fluid permeating member on an anode side is smaller than that of the fluid permeating member on a cathode side.
