<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the printing position of an image on a recording medium of a printed matter output at a printing device, to automatically control the set value for a postprocessing stage based on the detected results, and to attain the increase of speed and the improvement of precision in an inspection processing. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device includes: an inputting means of inputting printing data from an external apparatus; an analyzing means of analyzing the printing data input by an inputting means; a developing means of creating bitmap image data based on the result analyzed by the analyzing means; a holding means of holding the setting in the postprocessing stage based on the results analyzed by the analyzing means; an image forming means of printing the image data developed by the developing means on a recording medium; a reading means of reading the image data printed on the recording medium by the image forming means; and a detecting means of detecting an image printing position on the recording medium from the image data read by the reading means, and, from the results detected by the detecting means, the setting of the postprocessing stage held by the holding means is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
