<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which stops print processing without particular operation, when the print processing needs to stop during printing. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus using an IC card to perform authentication printing reads the particular identification information at all times from the IC card with an IC card reader, authenticates the user who uses the printing apparatus based on the identification information, executes confidential printing for printing only the print data corresponding to the print execution directions by the authenticated user based on the authentication result, and when the identification information can not be read from the IC card, the confidential printing is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
