<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a desired function even when an electrical storage apparatus provided in an auxiliary power source apparatus is deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing unit is provided with a main power source apparatus, a main heat generating body supplied with power from the main power source apparatus, the auxiliary power source apparatus with a specified electrical storage apparatus as a power source and an auxiliary heat generating body supplied with power from the auxiliary power source apparatus and the fixing roller is heated by the main heat generating body and the auxiliary heat generating body. The electrical storage apparatus is provided with a maximum charging voltage which is higher than the voltage originally needed for the auxiliary heat generating body taking into account voltage reduced portion due to deterioration in the electrical storage apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
