PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste ink storing structure which can carry out collection of waste ink for a long period of time by preventing a decrease of the permeation absorbing performance of an ink absorbent material fitted in a reservoir, and to provide an ink cartridge equipped therewith, and an inkjet printer. SOLUTION: The waste ink storing structure 17 in the ink cartridge 10 is comprised of the storing space 51 which is sectioned and formed by a lower case 33 and an intermediate vessel wall 35 to store the waste ink, a waste ink introducing part 37 for introducing the waste ink into the reservoir 51, a ventilation hole 61 which connect the reservoir 51 with the outside, two sheets of the ink absorbent material 63 which are fitted in the reservoir 51 to absorb through permeation the waste ink introduced in the reservoir 51 from the waste ink introducing part 37, and an opening and closing valve 65 which opens and closes the ventilation hole 61.
