PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a sugar chain and a peptide sequence without separating the sugar chain from a sugar chain-modified peptide. SOLUTION: Sugar chain structure analysis is performed in a negative ion mode CID wherein elimination of sialic acid or fucose hardly occurs, and peptide sequence analysis is performed in a positive ion mode ECD.
