PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a good-looking amorphous carbon film coated on the inside of a bottle without forming a brown mottled pattern. SOLUTION: In this method for forming the amorphous carbon film, a cylindrical member 12 is arranged at an extraction path 6 formed at the inside of a mouth part 2 of the bottle 1 made of a synthetic resin with a gap t formed between it and the extraction path 6, and gaseous C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>2</SB>is fed to a filling space R formed at the inside of a shoulder part 3, a barrel part 4 and a bottom part 5 connected to the mouth part 2 through the cylindrical member 12, so as to form an amorphous carbon film at the inside of the bottle 1 by a plasma CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) process using the gaseous C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>2</SB>. When the amorphous carbon film is formed, the cylindrical member 12 is positioned in such a manner that the tip of the cylindrical member 12 is exposed from the extraction path 6 to the filling space R.
