PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide grains being added to a hardenable material which is little in separation or scattering when being added to the hardenable material such as an asphalt, also able to be surface-compacted or tamped, which are used by adding to a substance hardening after being applied or shaped, such as asphalt used much in amount, by crushing waste electric wires, not abandoning them; while considering the fact that crushed electric wires are poor in adhesion to asphalt or the like and can be mixed into it only a little amount by merely mixing them and also being separated and scattered in many case, furthermore such crushed electric wires having elasticity are almost impossible to be surface-compacted or tamped when being added to the asphalt or the like. SOLUTION: The grains to be added to a hardenable material have core materials formed of a crushed cross-linked polyethylene, and powder is adhered fast to the surrounding of the core materials by adhesion with a resin or by fusion by softening of the core materials.
