PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion die for metallic material which has excellent durability and can produce an extruded article with high quality. SOLUTION: The die 10 comprises a die case 20 having a metallic material pressure receiving part 21 whose outer surface works as a metallic material pressure receiving face 22 arranged backward, and a male die 30 and a female die 40 installed in the die case. The pressure receiving surface 21 is formed so as to project backward and has projection dimension L2 larger than the radius dimension L1 rectangular to the axis direction. Portholes 24 for introduction of the metallic material are arranged in the outer periphery of the pressure receiving part 21. Then, the die 10 is structured such that the metallic material pressed against the pressure receiving surface 22 is introduced into the die case through the portholes 24 and passes through the extrusion hole 11.
