MARTENSITIC STAINLESS STEEL FOR WELDED STRUCTURE

Disclosed is a martensitic stainless steel for a welded structure, which comprises (by mass): C: 0.001-0.05%; Si: 0.05-1%; Mn: 0.05-2%; P: 0.03% or less; REM: 0.0005-0.1%; Cr: 8-16%; Ni: 0.1-9%; sol.Al: 0.001-0.1%; at least one member selected from Ti: 0.005-0.5%, Zr: 0.005-0.5%, Hf: 0.005-0.5%, V: 0.005-0.5% and Nb: 0.005-0.5%; O: 0.005% or less; and N: 0.1% or less, with the remainder being Fe and impurities, wherein the contents of P and REM satisfy the requirements represented by the following formula: P=0.6xREM. The steel has excellent SCC resistance at a welded part in the sweet environment.
