<p>Solid adduct produced by reacting triglycidyl iscyanurate or triglycidyl trimellitate with a fluorinated cyclic monocarboxylic acid or with a monoester prepared by reacting a dicarboxylic anhydride with a fluorinated alcohol, hydroxybenzotrifluoride or a silanol (I) or silyl-substituted alcohol is used as a crosslinker or hardener for carboxy-functional polyesters suitable for producing powder coatings. The adduct has more than 2 epoxy groups per average molecular weight. Solid adduct produced by reacting triglycidyl iscyanurate or triglycidyl trimellitate with a fluorinated cyclic monocarboxylic acid or with a monoester prepared by reacting a dicarboxylic anhydride with a fluorinated alcohol, hydroxybenzotrifluoride or a silanol RnSi(OH)4-n (I) or silyl-substituted alcohol is used as a crosslinker or hardener for carboxy-functional polyesters suitable for producing powder coatings.
