CONTACTLESS REWRITABLE RECORDING MEDIUM AND IC TAG USING SAME

A contactless rewritable recording medium in/from which information can be recorded/erased by a laser beam. The recording medium has a support (1), a reversible thermosensitive coloring layer (2) formed on the support (1), and a laminate material (6 and 9) provided on the reversible thermosensitive coloring layer. A contactless rewritable recording medium having a transmittance of the laminate material to a laser beam of 80% or more. A rewrite thermal label (15) having an adhesive layer (4) on the opposite surface of the support to the side on which the laminate material is formed of the recording medium. A contactless IC tag (20) with arewrite thermal label produced such that the adhesive layer of the label is so joined as to face an IC tag (10) from/in which invisible information can be read/written. The rewrite durability (heat destruction resistance) can be drastically improved while maintaining the performance of write/erase repeated by using a laser beam, the adhesion to the printing ink is improved to impart preferable printability, and the image storability can be improved by the solvent resistance and the light resistance.
