<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press-fit a rolling bearing having an outer ring fixed to a housing by a preload into the housing by a force as small as possible without damaging a resin band, or smoothly fit the whole body in a circumferential groove without damaging edges of the resin band. <P>SOLUTION: In this preload fixing rolling bearing, two circumferential grooves 2 are formed on the outer circumferential surface of an outer ring 1, a preload adjusting resin band 3 provided so as to protrude from the circumferential surface of the outer ring 1 radially outwardly is provided in a fitted state to each circumferential groove 2, and a housing 5 is preloaded by axially press-fitting the resin bands 3 by pressure.
