<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money processor which can be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: A paper money processor 1 is provided with: a frame having a paper money feeding path in which paper money is fed and a side wall portion 3b provided in the width direction of the paper money feeding path; a paper money reading means 20 installed in the frame for reading paper money to be fed; and a paper money identifying means for identifying authenticity of the paper money read by the paper money reading means 20.
