<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a bearing unit which always keeps the inside of the bearing unit in a constant internal pressure state and a sealing state, and also to provide the bearing unit. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device 40 for the bearing unit is incorporated into the bearing unit having a rolling bearing A and positioning members F and P positioning a rotary wheel 2 in the axial direction, and seals a bearing arranging space 80. Such a sealing device has a seal 30 sealing the bearing arranging space, a partition plate 18 separating a seal arranging space 82 from the bearing arranging space, and a seal case 16 storing the seal and the partition plate and fixed to a predetermined position. An internal pressure adjusting mechanism 30c keeping internal pressure under the substantially same pressure as atmospheric pressure by exhausting inside air to an external part from an internal part, is arranged by one or more in the seal. The partition plate is formed so that an inner peripheral part 18a is opposed at a predetermined interval to the positioning members. An inside air flowing mechanism 36 exhausting the inside air to the external part via the internal pressure adjusting mechanism by flowing the inside air to the seal arranging space from the bearing arranging space, is arranged by one or more in the inner peripheral part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
