<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which prevents the generation of a buzzing sound by eliminating a phenomenon of light control frequency in a light-emitting tube overlapping the natural frequency in the light-emitting tube to prevent a resonance phenomenon, and a display device having the light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: A lamp clip 30a (30b) is composed of a stand 31a (31b), and a grip 32a (32b) formed on the upper part of the stand 31a (31b). The thickness B of the stand 31b of the lamp clip 30b is located in the middle of the light-emitting tube 10, and is determined to be larger than the thickness A of the stand 31a of the lamp clip 30a located at an end of the light-emitting tube 10. As a result, a tensile force acting in the direction of the upside of the reference figure is applied to the light-emitting tube 10, which changes the natural frequency of the light-emitting tube 10. In utilizing this characteristic, the natural frequency of the light-emitting tube 10 is changed into a frequency that is out of the light control frequency range of a high frequency applied to the light-emitting tube 10, so that the natural frequency does not overlap the light control frequency range.
