<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a location and acquire information on the location in real time. <P>SOLUTION: In an information providing system, respondent terminals 2a, 2b, acquire a location information and time information and save them as footprint information at service server 3. Questions from questioner terminals 1a, 1b, include question items about the location or the time. If a service server 3 receives question information from the questioner terminal 1a, 1b, it sets up a location condition and a time condition from items of the questions, and compares the location information and the time information of the footprint information with the location condition and the time condition set up from the questions. It extracts respondents 7a, 7b which satisfy the condition, and transmits the questions by e-mail. The respondents 7a, 7b which have received the e-mail input replies from the respondent terminal 2a, 2b and transmits reply information to a service server 3.
