<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting connector capable of improving installation reliability by a fixing member. <P>SOLUTION: The surface mounting connector 1 includes an insulating housing 2 which holds a plurality of terminals 3 connected to a mounting surface of a circuit board 4 while being arranged along the mounting surface and a fixing member 5 which is installed at both ends in longitudinal direction of the insulating housing 2 and fixes the insulating housing 2 to the circuit board 4. The fixing member 5 comprises a substrate installation part 51 to be soldered to the circuit board 4 along the mounting surface and a housing installation part 52 which rises from the end of the substrate installation part 51 and is installed at the end in longitudinal direction of the insulating housing 2, and the substrate installation part 51 and the housing installation part 52 are formed of a single metal sheet. Furthermore, the fixing member 5 comprises a deformation restricting part 53 which is installed along the substrate installation part 51 and the housing installation part 52 and restricts deformation of the fixing member 5 to change the angle made by the substrate installation part 51 and the housing installation part 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
