PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a computational complexity when a MIMO transmission signal is demodulated using QR-MLD. SOLUTION: A demodulating device is provided with: a transmission signal estimating unit which estimates a transmission signal to be a pair with a transmission signal replica by using the transmission signal replica of each transmitting antenna, a reception signal, and a channel estimated value; a maximum likelihood symbol detector 301 which detects a transmission signal point closest to the transmission signal estimated value; a likelihood calculation symbol selection unit 302 which selects a signal point on a modulation map used for likelihood calculation on the basis of the closest transmission signal point; an in-lattice distance calculation unit 304 which calculates as an in-lattice distance the remainder obtained by dividing the transmission signal estimated value by a value a half as large as the lattice length of the modulation map on the basis of the transmission signal estimated value and the closest transmission signal point; and a likelihood calculation unit 303 which calculates a logarithmic likelihood of the signal point on the modulation map selected by the likelihood calculation symbol selector 302.
