PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical input element capable of achieving an optical interface, easy in connection/integration between it and an SFQ logical circuit. SOLUTION: The optical input element comprises a control current wire 100 constructed by a high temperature superconductor; a bias current wire 110 consisting of a high temperature superconductor and including a Josephson junction 120 with a magnetic flux generated by a pulse current flowing through a control current wire 100 got thereinto and irradiated with pulsed light; a first shielding film 200 including an opening 200a in the Josephson junction 120, and covering a bias current wire 110; and a second shielding film 210 for covering the control current wire 100.
