PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance toroidal continuously variable transmission superior in a rotational balance, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In this embodiment, a balance merit grade of G 100 or less based on JIS B0905, is set to a rotary body, for example, an input shaft, a disc and a power roller for constituting the toroidal continuously variable transmission, by using, for example, a balance testing machine 200. That is, the rotary body including the input shaft, the disc and the power roller, is formed in response to a predetermined well balanced standard.
