PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the behavior of the balls which are located in the most projected phase in the maximum operating angle state during a period, since the ball has come off from the track groove of an outer race until the ball has returned to that track groove again, in a fixed-type constant-speed universal joint, in which the opening side groove bottoms of the track grooves of an outer race are formed so as to have a tapered shape, and also the depth side groove bottoms of the track grooves of an inner race are formed so as to have a tapered shape, and the track grooves of the outer race are shortened. SOLUTION: Interference portions 64 are arranged on the end face 11 of the opening end 18 of the outer race 10, so as to radially elongate from the inside diameter side of the large diameter end 62 of a boot 60 fastened on to the outer peripheral surface of the opening end 18 of the outer race 10, and so as to apply pushing forces to the balls 30 located in the most projected phase toward the inside of the outer race 10.
