PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of untwisting by eliminating the occurrence of defective untwisting and enhance the efficiency of untwisting in an air blast untwisting nozzle. SOLUTION: A guide pieces 6 having a slit 12 for restricting the position of a yarn end Y is installed at a position apart a predetermined distance from a nozzle hole 2 to face each other. The bottom end 12b of the slit 12 is positioned to face the nozzle hole 2. Since it can be surely restrained by the slit 12 that the yarn end Y comes out of the jetting direction for compressed air or the yarn end Y is directed in the direction other than the jetting direction, the untwisting can be performed while holding the yarn end Y in a proper attitude. Therefore, by this untwisting nozzle 1, the reliability of untwisting can be enhanced by eliminating the occurrence of defective untwisting and the efficiency of untwisting can be enhanced.
