A control arrangement for jet propelled marine craft having at least one jet tuyere 1 comprises a first series of fixed vanes 13 constituting a grid arranged across the tuyere with the vanes aligned substantially with the jet flow path and at least one second series of vanes 14 constituting a grid located rearwardly of the first series and turnable in unison so as to modify the direction GD, Fig. 4, of egress of liquid from the tuyere and permit steering, Fig. 5, retardation and reversal, Fig. 6, of the craft. Arrangements for use with two distinct jet propulsion units and also for use with a unit with two distinct ejection orifices, located at the rear of, or in the side walls of, the propelled craft are described.
